VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. —

Military veterans in Alabama are being asked to consider being officials in the NFL FLAG youth football leagues.

An informational session was held in Vestavia Hills, Aug. 19 where veterans learned how to become a certified NFL FLAG official and support youth development.

The recruiting effort is being organized by the Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs (ADVA) and the Alabama Recreation and Parks Association.
