PINEVILLE, La. (KALB) - According to the Pineville Police Department, on August 20 at approximately 10 a.m., the right lane of Hwy 28E, directly in front of Walmart Market, will be closed for a project along the roadside.

The closure is expected to last a couple of hours.

Officers will be on site with lights activated. Please slow down, stay alert and use caution when driving in the area.

The closure is to provide added safety for contractors working alongside the roadway.

During this time, the main entrance to Walmart may be closed completely. Please use alternate entrances or plan accordingly.

To avoid delays, consider bypassing the area during the lunch hours.
