NEW ORLEANS — An Alabama man wanted for capital murder was arrested in New Orleans on Monday, according to the Birmingham Police Department.
Police say 35-year-old Harold Dailey fled Birmingham and was tracked to New Orleans. After conducting surveillance, officers and agents took him into custody without incident in the 1100 block of Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard.
The FBI’s New Orleans and North Alabama offices worked together on the arrest. Dailey was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center and is being held on his outstanding capital murder warrant.
“This arrest proves that no border or obstacle will keep the Birmingham Police Department from seeking justice," Birmingham Police Department Chief Pickett said. "If you commit violence in our city, you can run, but you cannot hide.
