WILTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Two women in Wilton who are facing dozens of animal cruelty charges are now without their home as it has been deemed a health hazard by town officials. On Tuesday night lawmakers took another step forward with establishing an animal abuse registry in Saratoga County.

“We can't really do much barbecues. A lot of animals, like a lot of smell and weird things,” said Yanette Lopez who rents the house next to where 72-year-old Nancy Kenny and 32-year-old Rachel Furman lived. They are the two women charged in the most recent animal abuse case in Saratoga County.

Lopez went on to explain, “You could hear all the animals next door, especially when we come home late night. You hear all these weird noises and looks like they're all they're doing things weird things.”
