GRAND HAVEN, Mich. — Grand Haven residents like Mary Scott say it's not unusual to see groups of deer hanging around in the town's neighborhoods.

"It's very frequent to see deer walking down the street,” Scott said.

Many, however, are saying that there are too many deer in the area.

The Grand Haven Forest Management Committee said in a presentation to the city council on Monday that as many as 112 deer, or even more, could be living in the city’s wooded areas.
