ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A state agency is now investigating allegations that a child ingested kratom at a daycare in Mableton.
The Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning said it is looking into what may have happened at Bright Minds Learning and Childcare Center.
The department said the investigation follows a “self-reported” incident in which a two-year-old ingested what the department called an “energy pill that had apparently fallen from classroom cubbies.”
“The Department will implement corrective actions as needed to ensure the safety and security of all children in care at Bright Minds Learning and Childcare Center,” a spokesperson said.
