VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — No one was hurt in a house fire in Virginia Beach Tuesday night.

The fire happened on Piney Ridge Court, near South Plaza Trail in the Windsor Woods neighborhood.

The fire was reported at 9:46 p.m., and firefighters found smoke showing from the one-story house when they arrived at 9:49. The fire was marked out at 10:01 p.m.

No one was home at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries to civilians, firefighters or pets.

The fire started in the kitchen after cooking was left unattended, Virginia Beach firefighters said.
