NORFOLK, Va. — Football season is just around the corner, and Old Dominion is making the final push in preparation. The Monarchs are now in their third week of fall camp as they aim for their first winning season under head coach Ricky Rahne who feels rejuvenated this time of the year.
"My favorite time of right now is that you don't have to talk about any of the issues that are in college football ," he said. "We get to talk about the great stuff."
Rahne officially named Colton Joseph the starting quarterback to start the season and can't wait to get things underway.
"It really gets you that mode of you know football right around the corner," he said. "Less than two weeks from now we'll be on our way and it'll be first game."
