With countless agricultural offerings waiting for them inside, thousands of locals and visitors poured into the Calhoun County Fairgrounds in Marshall to celebrate the fair’s 176th year Aug. 10-16. Activities including nightly grandstand features, livestock auctions, competitions and vendors rounded out the week’s packed schedule.

The fair, which has been a local staple since 1848, remains a steadfast fixture and a place to gather in celebration of community and agriculture.

Lines stretched across the fairground for grandstand events like demolition derbies, tractor pulls and the TK Pro Rodeo each night of the fair. Attendees walked through open barns to visit locally raised prize-winning animals that competed during the week’s events.
