MCDONOUGH COUNTY, Ill. (WGEM) - McDonough County State’s Attorney Matthew P. Kwacala reported Tuesday that the murder case against 37-year-old Sean Hayes has been dropped.

Hayes, along with 24-year-old Morgan Bearce, was charged with the murder of Bryson Saddoris on July 29.

According to Kwacala, more evidence and information had been uncovered regarding the incident, and his office determined that the charges filed against Hayes cannot be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

Kwacala stated the murder case against Morgan Bearce will proceed, and the incident remains under investigation by law enforcement.
