WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is warning consumers against eating or serving certain types of frozen shrimp being sold at Walmart stores in multiple states, including Arkansas, Mississippi, and Missouri, due to possible exposure to radioactive material.

According to the FDA, Customs and Border Protection informed them of alerted them to shipping containers at ports in Los Angeles, Houston, Savannah, and Miami in which Cesium-137 (Cs-137) had been detected. The FDA said they took multiple samples from the shipments, with one confirming the presence of the radioactive material in one sample of breaded shrimp.
