WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. - Schools in West Memphis will reopen Wednesday after city leaders lifted a four-day boil water advisory that impacted residents, businesses, and restaurants.
The advisory was issued Saturday after three of the city’s four pumps failed late Friday, causing a loss of pressure across the system. State inspectors cleared the system Tuesday after bacteria testing on water samples came back clean.

During the advisory, residents were told to boil all water before using it for drinking, cooking, or cleaning. Restaurants had to get creative to continue serving customers.
At Kickin Chicken, employee Kingston Crayton said the restaurant had to stop selling its most popular drinks.
