CLEVELAND, Ohio — The girls volleyball season is upon us, and Northeast Ohio should once again feature some of the top competition in the state.

Last season, six teams from the region reached the state final four, with Gilmour Academy and Lake Catholic claiming state titles.

Many of the players who made Northeast Ohio such a tough place to play return for 2025. As the season begins, we are recognizing many of them with our cleveland.com Preseason All-Stars.

First Team

Sydney Borowy, Magnificat, Sr.

Not just a top athlete in Northeast Ohio, Borowy has established herself as one of the premier talents in the entire state. Already committed to play college volleyball at UConn, Borowy represented the area as first-team All-Ohio in Division I last season and is hungry for more.
