If you’ve ever dealt with a tick on yourself or your pet, you know they can lead to a number of potential health risks.
Some areas and regions, however, are more infested with ticks than others, according to a report from Terminix, one of the largest pest control companies in the world.
The report, “ 2025 States with the Most Ticks & Tick-Borne Diseases, ” identified the top 25 states with the highest population of ticks.
Unfortunately for those in Ohio, the Buckeye State ranked 10th on the list. The other states among the most tick-infested in the U.S. – including top three California, Florida, and Texas – rank highly due to their warm climates, high humidity and abundance of green spaces, according to Terminix.
