BOWLING GREEN — A pair of events this weekend will force several road closures in the city on Saturday.

Over 500 runners in the Boy Scouts’ annual half marathon and 10K/5K run will take off at 7:30 a.m. from the Wood County Fairgrounds at 13800 W. Poe Rd. The route will start on Poe, and continue through the western and southern areas of town, finishing back at the fairgrounds.

While runners are on the roads, traffic will be affected and traffic patterns may be altered with rolling closures at intersections, officials said.

In conjunction with the 2 to 8 p.m. Rally BG on Main event, certain street closures and parking restrictions will be imposed downtown. Additional bicycle parking will be available on Main, at both ends of the event.
