CYPRESS, Texas (KTRK) -- An inmate who was mistakenly released from a jail in New Orleans was caught at a home in Cypress, according to the Harris County Precinct 5 Constable's Office.

Last month, officials say workers mistook 30-year-old Khalil Bryan for someone else and released him, the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office said.

Officials said two deputies were fired as a result. This happened at the same jail where 10 inmates escaped in May.
