Colleagues of a 'friendly' and 'well-liked' NHS worker who was recently jailed for plotting the rape of children have spoken of their horror at her crimes.

Tracy Turner, 52, a long-serving operating theatre assistant at Cardiff's University Hospital of Wales - and her husband Stuart Compton, 46 -exchanged messages about their plans to take a young girl to a shed, rape and choke her, and then 'dispose' of her.

The pair, who referred to themselves as 'Bonnie and Clyde', were also found to have been hoarding sick images of children being abused

At the pair's sentencing, Turner's barrister told how she had worked for the NHS for 33 years 'without blemish.'
