Police officers were left with bite marks, a broken finger and a swollen eye after being attacked during a series of arrests on Tuesday night (August 19).

Four officers were injured while responding to two separate domestic incidents in Cheetham Hill and Withington .

Three female officers suffered the injuries while attempting to arrest a suspect near to the city centre at around 10.50pm. He was wanted in relation to domestic offences, stalking and breach of a Domestic Abuse Protection Order.
