INDIANAPOLIS — Eleven people have been sentenced after trafficking "hundreds of thousands" of fentanyl pills and over 15 kilograms of meth into central Indiana, according to the U.S. Department of Justice .
They were all a part of an armed drug trafficking ring.
Jaraughn Bertram led the ring, the DOJ said, and they trafficked meth and fentanyl from Arizona to Indianapolis, Anderson and Muncie.
Bertram and Christopher Miller would use several couriers to get the drugs from Joaquin Carranza in Arizona, put the drugs in each of their checked bags and fly them to Indianapolis. They would also ship the drugs in the mail.
The drugs were then distributed to the other people in the drug trafficking ring for storage, packaging and selling.
