MACOMB COUNTY, MI – A Michigan man has been sentenced for repeatedly showed up to active crime scenes while posing as a first responder.

Jason Edward Barnes, 48, of Clinton Township was ordered to pay several fines and costs in Macomb County this week, but most of the sentence focus heavily on mental health treatment.

In part, Barnes has been ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation and comply with recommended treatment, enroll in counseling and refrain from using drugs or alcohol.

Additionally, he cannot have identification, insignia, badges, uniforms, other items associated with a criminal justice or law enforcement agency, or any item that suggests he is a member of a criminal justice or law enforcement agency.
