AVON LAKE, Ohio (WJW) -- Authorities in Avon Lake told FOX 8 News they recovered a body from the waters of Lake Erie early Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities said a 911 caller had spotted something suspicious in the water. Officers were dispatched at about 1 p.m., to the area of Lake Road and North Point Drive, authorities said.
Authorities recovered the person's body from the water, but were unable to confirm Wednesday afternoon whether the person was male or female.
The National Weather Service on Tuesday warned swimmers to stay out of Lake Erie, due to dangerous rip currents expected on the lake from Wednesday evening to Thursday evening.
The warning came after multiple people went missing from Lake
