GREEN, Ohio (WJW) – The city of Green is caught in a unique situation.

It has four different ZIP codes, which city leaders said creates several issues, from tax withholdings to postal deliveries.

Relief could be coming soon, as new legislation passed in the U.S. House of Representatives could eventually give Green its own ZIP code.

Green’s four ZIP codes are 44216, 44319, 44685 and 44720.

For decades, city leadership has been pushing for less confusion and one code.

“They’re a marker of identity and pride,” Green Mayor Rocco P. Yeargin said in the 2025 State of the City address back in January. “Being able to list Green as your address is a reflection of belonging to this incredible community.”
