EVANSVILLE, Ind. — An Evansville man is behind bars after he allegedly hit a fire hydrant while driving drunk before kicking an officer following his arrest.
According to a public police report from the Evansville Police Department , around 10:35 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 19, officers were called to the intersection of Kentucky and Joan avenues after receiving reports that a driver had hit a fire hydrant.
The police report says the driver, identified as a 24-year-old man, had hit a fire hydrant near Joan Court and Joan Avenue before driving with the hydrant still under his car to Kentucky Avenue.
