BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - It’s been hot out there this summer, and the folks at Alabama Power know you’re using more electricity than normal to keep your home cool.
As your power bill goes up because of the hot summer days, officials at Alabama Power want you to know resources are available if you’re finding it hard to pay.
Alabama Power launched their Energy Assistant tool that connects qualified customers with offers, programs, and support based on your needs.
After you answer a few anonymous questions, the tool will provide you with solutions that may help you save or find assistance.
Some of those resources include the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), 211 United Way, Budget Billing, area Salvation Army assistance, and aid for customers with special needs an
