PEORIA, AZ (AZFamily) — A freeway in Peoria is shut down in both directions because of a rollover crash that sent six people to the hospital on Wednesday.
It happened on state Route 74 west of Castle Hot Springs around 2:30 p.m.
Firefighters said seven people were involved in the T-bone collision between a pickup truck and a four-door sedan. Four adults are in critical condition, with one being flown to the hospital. The other three were driven there.
One adult and one child were taken to the hospital in stable condition. The seventh person didn’t need to go to the hospital.
The pickup truck landed on its side, while the car suffered damage on the driver’s side, mostly in the back.
Officials said it’s unclear when the freeway will be reopened.
