ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque threatened to get tough with fiber internet companies that made construction messes in neighborhoods. However, the city is reversing course on banning new fiber construction permits, and said a special group is helping fix the problem.

“This fiber is going to bring us into a newer age,” said Albuquerque City Councilor Dan Champine.
