NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A stormy pattern will stick around across southeast Louisiana through the weekend, as a weather system lingers over the region and slowly drifts south into the Gulf of Mexico. With winds off the Gulf pulling in plenty of moisture, conditions will stay hot, humid, and unsettled.
On Thursday and Friday, scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected, especially during the afternoon and evening. Some storms could bring heavy downpours, gusty winds, and localized street flooding, so it’s a good idea to keep an umbrella handy and allow extra time if you’ll be driving around town.
