GASTON, S.C. — An undeveloped rural area near Gaston could soon see nearly 200 homes if a subdivision proposal wins approval from Lexington County.
Developers want to build 196 single-family homes on almost 100 acres off Victor Road, just southwest of the town of 1,600 residents. The project would include construction of a new public road.
It’s one of at least three developments currently planned for the Gaston area, following two housing approvals in late 2024 that together are expected to bring hundreds of homes.
For some neighbors, the news came as a surprise.
