The Detroit Tigers saw a slight dip this month in where evaluators see how their farm talent stacks up but, as a whole, they remain among the best in baseball when it comes to prospect talent.
Leading the way, it seems, is the Tigers’ talent in the dirt. MLB Pipeline on Tuesday night listed its 10 organizations with the best infield prospects, slotting the Tigers in at No. 2, behind the Milwaukee Brewers.
Pipeline and Baseball America came out with updated farm-system rankings this month and, while the Tigers slipped in both from the preseason, it wasn’t by much, sitting at No. 3 overall according to Baseball America (dropping one spot), and No. 6 (from the top spot) according to Pipeline.
