WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Candidates running for governor next year in Georgia will get one of their first major stages to make a pitch to voters tonight in Warner Robins.
The state NAACP, along with the local Houston and Bibb County chapters, are hosting a meet-and-greet forum with eight candidates, including all the leading names so far declared for the race.
That includes, on the Democratic side, former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, former DeKalb County CEO Mike Thurmond, state Rep. Derrick Jackson, state Sen. Jason Esteves and Impact Church founder Olu Brown. On the Republican side, Georgia Lt. Gov. Burt Jones, Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr and Georgia Army National Guard Sgt. Ken Yasger will be featured.
