President Donald Trump referred to himself as a “war hero” after giving the thumbs up on airstrikes in Iran.
Trump made the comment Tuesday evening on “The Mark Levin Show,” hosted by the titular Mark Levin, while speaking about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Trump said the prime minister is “a war hero ‘cause we worked together,” according to Politico.
“He’s a war hero. I guess I am too,” Trump said during the show. “Nobody cares. But I am too. I mean, I sent those planes.”
The mention of “those planes” is thought to be in reference to the June airstrikes that damaged Iran’s nuclear facilities in Tehran.
Despite the “war hero” claims, Trump has not served in any branch of the military, nor has he been in a war.
