High school students interested in becoming a part of the City of Santa Maria’s youth employment program and learning more about working in the food service and retail industries, are encouraged to apply for employment at the McClelland Street Market.

Located within the Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center at 600 South McClelland St., the market is recruiting area high schoolers at least 16 years of age.

Applicants must be available to work weekdays during after-school hours and on Saturday.

The McClelland Street Market is the primary worksite of a 16-week paid job exploration program in which teens gain leadership skills and experience in the food service and market-retail industries.
