Perennial power Kissimmee Osceola and tradition-rich Oviedo will be there usual selves in Class 6A football this season. But now, with the resurrection of programs at Evans and South Lake, it’s going to be a dogfight to see who emerges in the race for district titles and regional glory.
As if local competition is not tough enough, throw in teams from the north like Jacksonville Mandarin, Gainesville Buchholz and Ponte Vedra Nease, and getting to the state final will be quite a chore for whomever emerges. Osceola was able to do just that last year as the 6A state runner-up.
