SALADO, Texas — The Bell County Sheriff's Office reported the 13-year-old was found.

According to police, the teenager was found at 8:30 p.m. in Austin by the Austin Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety-Highway Patrol.

The Texas Rangers assisted the Bell County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The teenager is being brought back to Bell County by the Texas Highway Patrol to be reunited with her mother.

This case remains under investigation, and the Bell County Sheriff’s Office is consulting with the District Attorney’s Office.

An AMBER Alert was issued on Wednesday after the teenager was last seen at her home outside of Salado on the late morning of Sunday, Aug. 17, according to police.
