The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory at 10:11 p.m. on Wednesday in effect until 11:45 p.m. for Rockland and Westchester counties.

The weather service comments, "Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected."

"Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas," describes the weather service. "Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles."
