A flash flood warning was released by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 10:41 p.m. in effect until Thursday at 12:15 a.m. for Westchester County.
"At 10:41 p.m., Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly," explains the weather service. "Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas."
Locations impacted by the warning include New Canaan, Ridgefield, Wilton, Weston, Redding, Bedford and Georgetown.
