EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) -- Habitat for Humanity Evansville celebrated the opening of its new volunteer center with a ribbon cutting on Wednesday.

The new facility is on Maxwell Avenue. This also marks the launch of a partnership with Ivy Tech to combine housing construction with workforce development.

The new volunteer center will serve as a hub for activities, education and more. Certain parts of habitat homes can also be built inside at the center helping to avoid weather delays.
