COLUMBIA, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The South Carolina Supreme Court announced it has amended the rules for judicial disciplinary enforcement.
The amendment provides that, if there are proceedings against a current justice facing a complaint of misconduct, other justices will not participate.
A panel of judges will be called upon to perform the duties of the Supreme Court at that time, the state’s high court said.
The Supreme Court said this amendment will avoid issues between the justices themselves.
