MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) - Moline hosted a documentary screening and club fair on Wednesday night.

After showing the documentary, “Join or Die,” attendees could talk with clubs and organizations about ways to be more active in the community.

“It seems to be a common sentiment that people are feeling disconnected, and they are interested in making new friends or getting out there, but they just don’t really know where to start,” Ashley Allen Smith, a community engagement manager for the city, said.

Smith said the Connect IRL: Film & Fair was about giving people the chance to see what’s available in the community and share resources and information.

“And if you find something you like, continuing that conversation with them,” she said.
