INDIANAPOLIS — A coalition of parents, teachers, students and community members gathered Wednesday for a discussion centered on the future of Indianapolis Public Schools.
Participants packed the meeting of the Indianapolis Local Educational Alliance, a group created by the Indiana General Assembly.
Community group Stand For Children presented "Together We Thrive," a document outlining a reimagined school system, one that brings people together and makes sure every student thrives in IPS and charter schools.
The 22-page document focuses on ensuring every student in Indianapolis has access to a high-quality public education, regardless of where they live or what kind of school they attend.
