RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Two people were taken to a hospital after a stabbing incident at Pickett Park in Reno on Wednesday, Aug. 20, according to the Reno Police Department (RPD).

A group fight broke out about 9 p.m.

REMSA transported one person with stabbing wounds, RPD said. The second person was possibly battered, police said.

KOLO 8’s crew on scene saw a man on a stretcher holding bandages on one of his eyes.

RPD handcuffed a suspect and put him in a police vehicle.

The five-acre park is at 225 Kirman Avenue.

This is an ongoing investigation.
