RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Hurricane Erin will stay offshore confining impacts to the coast.
FIRST ALERT: Hurricane Erin is a Category 2 hurricane and is forecast to stay over water, passing between Bermuda and the U.S. East Coast.
Erin will send large swells towards the East Coast through the weekend, creating life-threatening marine conditions. Coastal flooding is likely for our far eastern counties.
Coastal Flood Warnings are up for many of our tidal counties. 1-3 feet of inundation is expected in low lying areas along the shoreline.
