We’ll see plenty of clouds on Wednesday, but rain coverage will be limited to just a few isolated showers. Highs will reach the mid 80s with winds from the northeast at 10-20 mph.

Erin will pass about 100-200 miles off the NC coast Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Large waves and beach erosion will need to be likely from late Wednesday through Thursday evening. Highway 12 may be impossible at times, as over wash will likely occur. Winds along the coast will gust to near 50 mph at times.

After Erin passes out to sea late week, the weather will quiet down just in time for the Watermelon Fest. with rain chances dropping to 20% or less Friday through Sunday.
