A heatwave that is pushing temperatures across Southern California 10 to 15 degrees above normal should peak today through Friday, forecasters warn.
Not even coastal areas will be spared, with L.A. County beaches getting up to 84 degrees, and up to 89 degrees in Orange County. For downtown L.A. and the rest of the inland coast, expect highs to reach up to 98 degrees.
The valleys will see high temperatures from 95 to 103 degrees, and up to 108 degrees more inland.
The high desert areas will see temperatures up to 105 degrees, and in Coachella Valley, the mercury is expected to hit 115 degrees. There will also be little relief at night, with lows only dropping into the 90s.
