The 50th annual get-together of this remarkable group of people was held Sunday, August 10 at the Pete Sepe Pavilion in Warren, where youngsters and oldsters alike shared fond memories in perfect summer weather conditions — not to mention the best food.

When the late Gaetano and Emelinda Murgo, who were married in 1915, first made their home in Bristol on what used to be called Usher Street (now St. Elizabeth St.), they never dreamed that decades later their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren would keep the family together by having a yearly summer reunion carrying the family name.

Thus, the Murgo Family reunion got its start, and now, 50 years later, the beat goes on.
