A Netflix fan believed she had spotted a doppelgänger of a well-known TV character, only to be hit with a surprising revelation. Certain television programmes have become staples on the popular streaming platform, with fans repeatedly tuning in to watch them again and again .

This seems to be the case with the US adaptation of The Office, the mockumentary that catapulted creators Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, as well as actor Martin Freeman , to stardom.
