A bullet was fired into Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid's office at the team's practice facility last spring while he was inside, according to a police report.

The Kansas City Police Department spokesperson told the Kansas City Star that Reid was working alone in his office in early May 2024 when a bullet fired from outside the building broke through glass and left a hole through the window. The Kansas City Star reported that the team installed bulletproof glass soon afterward, citing sources.

The Kansas City Police Department confirmed the building was occupied when the shot was fired and said there were no injuries as a result of the incident. It said it is investigating the case as an aggravated assault and that there is no indication that it was a targeted incident.
