With the impacts of Erin on our coastline, continue to watch for overwash along Highway 12 and flooding of the beaches. Breezy conditions remain until Friday from the northeast at 10-20 mph, with higher gusts up to 25-30 mph. Areas along the coast will need to be watched for isolated flooding, especially along the sounds. Highs will be in the lower 80s with a mix of sun and clouds, and a drop in humidity. If you’re either moving into ECU’s campus or attending the watermelon fest, have the sunscreen and sunglasses. Lows at night will fall to the 60s.
