A Texas man who was convicted for violently assaulting law enforcement during the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol has ended his Texas campaign for Congress.

In a video posted to X this week, Ryan Nichols blamed his wife and "dirty Jews" for ruining his campaign.

"I am no longer running for Congress," he announced in a video recorded while driving. "So when I started this process of running for Congress, I was the owner of a multi-million dollar business. I technically still am. I lived in a million-dollar home with my wife, soon-to-be ex-wife, and my two kids that I love dearly that kept me alive wanting to come home and see them every day."

Nichols said that his wife had "kicked" him out of his home and "took all the money" from their shared business.

"So because of that, I've got to get a job," he complained. "Now, furthermore, I've realized that in TX-01, it's unwinnable. It's unwinnable, and the reason I say that AIPAC, AIPAC, those dirty Jews have their hands gripped into everything, including our current congressman."

The convicted rioter alleged that his former campaign manager "was a federal agent or some type of federal asset or some type of AIPAC asset, some type of Jewish asset that was sent to entrap me."

Former campaign manager Trish Fleming responded by threatening to sue Nichols for defamation, libel, and slander.

"You just messed up really bad," Fleming wrote on X. "You are a narcissist psychopath and are one step from going back to prison, but this time you won't be blessed with a pardon. I have the receipts to destroy you in 5 seconds. Not because I 'infiltrated your campaign' but because you are a freakin idiot!!! You didn't like someone telling you that you could not win. But guess what? You cannot win because you are insane!!!"
