CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WHNT) — The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is currently under lockdown for a possible active shooter on campus.

UTC posted on x, formerly known as Twitter, that there was a possible active shooter in the University Center or Library.

"Run. Hide. Fight," the University wrote.

"UTC ALERT: All individuals on the UTC campus should remain on lockdown. Do not move unless directed by law enforcement. Campus facilities are currently being searched by police," the University said on Facebook.

"UPDATE: CPD is working with @UTCPD to confirm Shots Fired reports that were called in. At this time, we have not located any victims," Chattanooga Police said on X.

Hamilton County EMS said multiple agencies are on the scene.
